Environmental Questions

Are FitFlops suitable for vegans?

Our first collection of FitFlop Walkstars was made entirely from textile and synthetic materials only. Due to many customer requests, we are looking into producing some FitFlops in leather. If and when a leather version is launched, we'll make sure that the construction is carefully indicated on the tag

Does the FitFlop contain Latex?

Yes, the interlining of the FitFlop contains latex, and whilst this may not come into contact with your feet, if you suffer from latex allergies, we recommend that you avoid wearing FitFlops (unless you’re wearing them with socks).

What is the toe thong made of and what is its thickness?

I have very sensitive skin between the toes. The material between the toes is a synthetic ‘leather-like’ material. It is soft, slim and designed to be very comfortable. However, we realize that many people have ‘issues’ with the comfort afforded by toe-thongs, and therefore we are:

  1. adding a ‘slide’ or ‘mule’ version of the FitFlop to our Spring/Summer 08 collection and
  2. working on perfecting what we at FitFlop Headquarters refer to as ‘imperceivable toe-post technology’, for the ultimate no-feel, no rub toe thong. We hope to incorporate it into all FitFlops shortly.
